XpressDocs Shopping Cart FAQ

What is the order minimum?

Providing flexible, low minimums is one way that Xpressdocs sets itself apart from the others. The minimum quantity for each line item is 25 pieces. The price per piece improves with higher quantities (we recommend ordering 100 pieces for the best value)

Where can I view the status of my order?

Your order status and shipping information will be displayed on the Order History page in your account. To get there, click the Account tab, click My Account, then click on Orders.

When will my order ship?

Print orders are typically shipped within 48 hours of placing your order (excluding weekends and holidays).

Print operations run Monday - Friday. All orders must be received on or before a business day for turnaround times to apply.

How are orders shipped?

Bulk orders are shipped to you via FedEx Ground. You may also choose to upgrade to FedEx 2nd Day or FedEx Overnight delivery. Note: FedEx will not deliver to PO Boxes. Saturday delivery is not available.

Direct mail orders are sent to your contacts via USPS First-ClassTM mail.

Do you ship internationally?

We are currently unable to offer bulk shipping or direct mail to addresses outside of the U.S.

How long does shipping take?

After your order has been printed and packaged (~1-2 days), the following shipping times apply:

  • FedEx Ground: 1-5 business days (3-7 business days for AK and HI)
  • FedEx 2-Day: 2 business days. Delivery by 4:30 P.M. to most U.S. addresses. (by 8 P.M. to residences)
  • FedEx Standard Overnight: Next-business-day delivery by 3:00 P.M. to most U.S. addresses.
  • Direct Mail orders via USPS First-Class mail: Your contacts will receive your mail within 3-7 business days.

Turnaround times are based on business days excluding holidays. Any problems with your order will delay delivery. Orders are shipped to you via FedEx to the shipping address on the order (excludes weekends - AK and HI have longer transit times).

Where are orders mailed from?

Fort Worth, TX

Can I schedule my printing for a later date?

No. You cannot schedule bulk orders for a later date. If you would like a postcard to be mailed to your contact on a certain date, you can create a custom date campaign in the system and add your postcard to it. Schedule your postcard 8 days before you would like it to arrive to allow time for printing and mailing.

What paper option should I choose?

We offer unsurpassed print quality on FSC certified, premium paper stocks using our HP Indigo presses; the fastest, most productive and efficient production presses in the digital industry. Our paper stocks are chosen specifically to match the type of product and the press they will be run on so you can rest assured that whatever you choose, it will print beautifully.

100# Text is our basic paperweight option used for flyers and on the inside pages of our 20-page guides. It feels like a standard piece of paper.

110# Cover is the heavy stock option used for luxury brochures, tri-fold flyers, greeting cards, and the covers of our 20-page guides. It’s also available as an upgrade option on flyers. Choose this option for a slightly heavier paperweight than the 100# Text option on flyers. It’s durable, yet lightweight while still managing to hold color well. This paper has a smooth finish and some shine built into it, but it’s not the same as a high-gloss coating.

Premium Coverstock is the heavy stock option we use for all our postcards. This coverstock has the extra level of quality needed for direct mail pieces. All postcards include high-gloss UV coating on the front side – free of charge.

16pt Tango is the high-quality paperboard used for our business cards. Tango brand papers are durable and long lasting. The 16pt thickness holds the ink extremely well, making the colors vivid and clear on each side. Consider adding a Matte or South Touch coating for an extra refined look that’s sure to impress your clients or choose a High Gloss UV finish for extra protection and vibrant colors.

What finishing option should I choose?

No Coating is the default finishing option for everything except postcards. Several coating options are available on most pieces for an additional fee per piece. Coatings are applied to the print materials after they are printed, for a polished and protective finish.

High Gloss UV Coating is an environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable, high-gloss coating that has protective qualities. The high sheen of UV coating gives your images a crisp, vibrant finish. Choose this option for photo-heavy designs that you want to stand out.

Matte Coating is a coating that, when applied, creates a muted, no-shine finish. Matte coating creates a more natural look and feel on printed materials than UV coating, while creating a barrier which is fingerprint resistant. Choose this option for text-focused designs you want to have a soft look and luxury feel.

Soft Touch Coating is a coating that, when applied, creates a velvety texture. The paper becomes “soft” to the touch. Soft Touch® coating creates a softer look and feel on printed materials than UV coating, while creating a barrier which is fingerprint resistant. The velvety texture is memorable for its tactile appeal. Choose this option for designs you want to look and feel different.

1 or 2 sides? For most print materials, you have the option to apply a coating to just the front side or both sides of your piece. For postcards, high-gloss UV coating is automatically applied to the front side only.  This is to protect your postcard artwork in the mail and ensure that your addresses don’t smear and your labels or stamps affix properly on the back if you are mailing out yourself.
