Bulk Updates to Contact Records

There are times when it is super convenient to be able to update selected contacts at the same time. It might be moving people into or out of a group, adding a comment or change a status for all, sending an email to a list of contacts, or even printing mailing labels for your contacts.

Update Multiple Contacts at Once

To get started, go to your Contacts Tab and run a contact search and select the contacts you would like to update by checking the box next to their name. Then click the Update Contacts button.

Here you can choose to Edit the Records or Send these Contacts to the Trash. In most cases, you will select the Edit option, as you only want to send contacts that you cannot engage with to the trash (e.g. no valid email address or phone number).

To edit the contacts, select Edit the Records and click Continue.

Select the criteria you wish to update - you can add them to a group, add them to a campaign, add a history note, remove them from a group, or update their status. When you're finished, click Update Now.

Since adding a contact to a group that's already on a campaign will add that contact to that campaign, you can either bulk add to a group OR a campaign, but not both.

Send an Email to Bulk Contacts

You can also send an email to a filtered list of contacts; once you have your contacts selected, click the Send Email button.

When sending an email this way, your system will verify your selected contacts and remove anyone that has unsubscribed.

Print Labels for Your Contacts

To print mailing labels for your contacts, go to your Contacts Tab and run a contact search and select the contacts you would like to update by checking the box next to their name. Then click the Print Labels button. It's really that easy!!

The labels are designed to print 2.625” wide x 1” tall (Avery template 5160). You can print a maximum of 66 pages with 30 labels per sheet (1,980 labels) at a time.
