Campaign Types

Campaigns are a great way to stay engaged with your sphere, past clients, and long-term buyers & sellers. There are five main types of campaigns in your Market Leader system:

  • Monthly Newsletter
  • Lead Conversion Campaigns
  • Date Based Campaigns
  • Interval Campaigns
  • Birthday and Anniversary Campaigns

Monthly Newsletter

The Monthly Newsletter campaign is the only newsletter campaign in your Marketing Center, and it's your only perpetual campaign (meaning it never ends). This campaign is ideal for engaging past clients, and every month we'll add great real estate content to your Newsletter campaign.

This campaign is active and can be found by clicking Manage Campaigns from the Marketing menu.

The Monthly Newsletter campaign will be the first campaign on the list. It is active, ready, and waiting for you to add contacts. Just click on the Groups button, then you can add groups or individual contacts to the Newsletter campaign.

Good to Know
  • Your delivery date is scheduled specifically for your system and not editable.
  • You will receive a system reminder 5 days before your email is scheduled to go out so you can go in and edit your Newsletter.
  • Your Newsletter cannot be paused or deleted, however, if at any time you no longer want to send it just remove your contacts from the campaign and the newsletter will be 'stopped'.
  • While each email does not require customization, we recommend tailoring the content to your area or region so it's highly relevant to you and your business.

Lead Conversion Campaigns

Conversion campaigns are specifically designed for new or cold leads, and typically include reminders (activities) and emails to help engage and convert buyers and sellers. The Lead Conversion campaigns are especially effective when it comes to new lead engagement.

To choose one of these campaigns, click Marketing Center from the Marketing menu. Then select the type of Campaign Templates you are wanting below.

This will take you to all of the pre-built campaigns in your system.

These campaigns include reminders for the initial engagement phase, and drip emails for long-term engagement. Click Here to learn more about working with to dos.

Date Based Campaigns

Date campaigns are sent out on specific dates, and include date-specific content such as holiday greetings and seasonal landscaping tips. Many of the date campaigns in your system are ideal for staying engaged with your past clients.

Good to Know
  • The delivery date for each piece can be adjusted to a date of your choosing when configuring your steps.
  • When you add a contact to a date campaign, they will start at the next schedule step in the campaign (not at the very beginning).
  • You will receive a system reminder when your campaign comes to an end.
  • Your campaign can be paused or deleted at any time.

Interval Campaigns

Interval campaign steps are sent out after a certain number of days have passed, and these campaigns are designed to be more evergreen in content and can be sent at any time of the year. Interval campaigns never need to be re-started because when you add a contact to an interval campaign, it essentially re-starts the campaign.

Good to Know
  • The delivery interval for each piece can be adjusted when configuring your steps.
  • When you add a contact to an interval campaign, they will always start at the very beginning of the campaign.
  • Since you can have many contacts at different steps in an interval campaign, once an interval step occurs, you will no longer be able to adjust the delivery date for that step.
  • You will receive a system reminder when your campaign comes to an end.
  • Your campaign can be paused or deleted at any time.

Birthday and Anniversary Campaigns

Birthday and Anniversary Campaigns are sent once a year based on the clients birthday or purchase anniversary in the contact record. These campaigns are sort of like a hybrid, since they send on specific dates, but are interval in other aspects (e.g. when you add a contact they will always start at the beginning).

Birthday and anniversary campaigns are always active and can be found by clicking Manage Campaigns from the Marketing menu. You should see the campaigns in your list, so all you need to do it add contacts and activate the campaign.

In order to add a contact to one of these campaigns, they must have a birthday or purchase anniversary date in their contact record. Click here to learn how to add a birthday or purchase anniversary to a contact.

Good to Know
  • These campaigns will include 5 initial steps (or 5 years worth of the campaign), however additional steps can be added.
  • You will receive a system reminder when your campaign comes to an end.
  • Your campaign can be paused or deleted at any time.
  • In order to add a contact to one of these campaigns, they must have a birthday or purchase anniversary date in their contact record.
  • You can also add a contact to these campaigns from the contact summary.
