You can add images to your website to add a more personal touch to your consumer site. In order to add images to your website, you first need to get a unique URL for your image, which means you must host your image online. Here, you'll learn how to host an image online, and how to add the hosted image to your Market Leader website.

Hosting the Image Online

In order to get the URL for your image, you must host the image online (rather than a folder on your computer). We recommend using an image hosting service that allows you to use the hosted images for business/commercial use, such as Google or Facebook.

(minus) IMPORTANT: If you're uploading images into an album in your Google Photos, you must make sure the album is public. To do this, go to your album, and select Options from the menu. Then move the toggle to share your album.

Adding the Image to Your Website

Once you have your image URL, the next step is to add it to your system so the image appears on your website. First, click on Pages in your website administration menu.

Then select the page you wish to add images to; you can choose any page on your website, including any custom pages you've added.

Next, place your cursor where you'd like to add an image, then click the Insert/Edit Image button.

An Insert/edit image display box will appear. Paste the image URL that you’ve copied into the Source field.

Enter an Image description (this is the 'hover text' that will appear when someone hovers their mouse over the photo).

Edit the Dimensions of the image, if necessary. Click OK, and you should now see your new image.

What if my image displays too large/small in my email?

There are two ways to resize an image on your website:

  1. Click on your image to select it. Click and drag one of the 4 corners of the image and resize up or down as needed.
  2. Click on your image to select it; click the Insert/Edit Image button and adust the dimensions (just make sure the Constrain Proportions box is checked).
