Tips for Personalizing a Guide

PersonalizeGuide

When personalizing a guide, there are a few key things to know. To start with, there are two types of guides:

  1. Home Seller Guide
  2. Home Buyer Guide

(info) Note: For detailed step-by-step instructions on using the Marketing Design Editor, please click here.

There are some basic things to know that apply to both types of guides.

  • Pages can’t be added or removed from the guide.
  • Not all visible content is editable. The Design Editor will help you identify what content is editable.
  • Review every page of the guide. The guides do have pre-loaded content, but it’s important to review the content to make sure it suits your needs.

Both types of guides have some specific pages that you’ll definitely need to update. To navigate through a guide while in the Design Editor, you can:

  • Use the Change Page navigation arrows
  • Click on the Page number
  • Click through the Jump To drop down menu

1. Home Seller Guide

HomeSeller

The Home Seller guides have three pages that need to be updated.

(lightbulb)Best Practice: Review the content on every page and edit as needed.

  • Page 4: Update with your contact information and where you will be listing their property.

  • Page 13: Use this page to provide your seller with a clear plan on how you will be marketing their home.  Many agents will choose to let the seller take notes on this page as they present their marketing plan, so you don’t have to fill this out ahead of time.

  • Page 17: Update with your professional bio. Include information about who you are and why your client should select you. Your contact information and logo will automatically pull from your account, so you’ll just need to ensure that it is correct.

2. Home Buyer Guide

The Home Buyer guides have six pages that need to be updated.

(lightbulb)Best Practice: Review the content on every page and edit as needed.

  • Cover page: Update the cover page with the name of your contact. The name will not autofill.

  • Page 6: Update with the contact information for your preferred lender.

  • Page 12: Include some websites you would encourage your home buyer to look at for their home search.

  • Page 16: Update with the name of your preferred home inspection company.

  • Page 17: Update with the name of your preferred title company.

  • Page 19: Update with your professional bio. Include information about who you are and why your client should select you. Your contact information and logo will automatically pull from your account, so you’ll just need to ensure that it is correct.
