Yahoo! Email Changes

Recent changes by Yahoo! causes emails to be rejected by most email providers if the emails weren’t actually sent by Yahoo’s email servers.

How does this affect me?

As an eEdge, Pro, or Business Suite user you have the option of setting an external email address for sending emails from myMarketing. If you are using a yahoo.com email address for this purpose, your marketing emails will no longer be delivered to most email providers.

So what can I do?

You have two options:

  1. Change your marketing email address to your eEdge email address. Then, any future marketing materials will display your eEdge email address.
  2. Change your External Email address to a non-Yahoo! email address so that the Marketing Email updates with the new email address.

How do I change my Marketing Email?

In your eEdge account, select My Account from the Profile Admin Drop-down Menu.

Click the Edit button at the top of the page.

In the Marketing section, select the drop down menu for Marketing Email and choose your eEdge Email address.

Scroll down again and click Save. The Marketing Email will now be your eEdge Email address.

How do I change my External Email address?

Scroll down and click the Edit button under the Additional Information section. Then, scroll back up and select the email address in the External Email address field under Profile Details.

Enter the email address you’d like to change it to (i.e. Gmail, Hotmail).

If your Marketing Email address is already set to use your External Email address, then the Marketing Email field will automatically update to the new email address.

Remember to scroll down and click Save when you are finished.

Additional Helpful Tips

We recommend always using your eEdge email address for any marketing materials. This way you can be sure that your contacts will always be using the eEdge email address when emailing you, allowing the system to track those emails.
