The Communities Served feature allows you to demonstrate your local expertise in the areas that you work in. Your clients will find these pages on the Communities Tab Adding communities is a great way to boost SEO, while providing valuable neighborhood information for consumers. To add or edit the communities you serve, select Website Admin from the Profile Admin Drop-down Menu.
Image Removed On the next page, click Communities Served from the links on the left side of the page. To add a new community, click the Add Community button. The communities you add will appear on your website home page or buy page, depending on what website theme you’re using.

First, enter the community name in the Name of Communityfieldprovided. Enter either Then enter the community or neighborhood nameor , ORa zip or postal code in the field provided, and for the community you're adding (once you start entering a zip code, you'll be able to select it from the a listthat appears. (Note: if your community does not appear in the MLS search areas on your website, you may ). You can add multiple names or zip codes per area.
If the community/neighborhood name does not auto-populate the pick-list, you'll need to use a zip code instead). Then, you can enter another area name or zip code until you have covered the entire community you are adding.
Now. This usually happens because the specific neighborhood is not recognized by your local MLS.
Next, add a description of for the community. What are some of the local landmarks or tourist attractions? Why would someone want to live here? What's your favorite thing about this community? This is your chance to really shine by showing why you are the local expert!
Finally, showcase your local expertise.
Be sure to add unique content here, and don't be afraid to use video, images, and links to other pages of your website, and external websites too!
Then move the pin to the center of your area on the map, to give consumers a better idea of where this community is located.

you have any photos you have taken of the area or if you own any images that have been professionally taken of that area you can add a custom local image to your communities page. Now you can add a photo to represent your community (we always recommend adding a community image), like a local landmark, favorite place to eat, a popular park, or farmer's market. This can be a photo you've taken, or any professional image you own the rights to use.
Simply click the Choose File button, locate and upload the file, and you're all set!
For best results choose an image with a landscape orientation .
Under the Add a Community Image click the Choose File button and search your computer for the right picture.
With your communities served pages you also have the ability to control (horizontal), rather than portrait orientation (vertical).

To edit an existing community click the edit icon (Image RemovedImage Added) in the Actions column. To remove a community click the delete icon (Image RemovedImage Added).

What is a Community Served?
The Communities Served view enables you to manage a list of the areas that you cover as an agent. The communities you add will be listed on the home page or buy page of your website, depending on the website theme you're using. The Communities Served list links website visitors to specific information on a community.
What are the benefits of Communities Served?
Communities Served provide more relevant search results for your prospects. It allows them to better navigate your site to find properties in the neighborhoods and areas they want to specifically search.
What can I name my Communities Served?
You can choose any name for your Communities Served, with the following recommendation and restriction:
Recommendation: For formatting reasons, we recommend using names with fewer than 20 characters.
Restriction: Your Communities Served pages will not work correctly if you use special characters in the name, especially / and \.
How many zip codes can I add to each Community Served?
You can add up to 31 zip codes to each Community Served.
How are Communities Served ordered?
Communities Served are always ordered alphabetically.
How do Communities Served affect the Market Leader Search Widget?
The Communities Served that you set up will also be the list of areas that can be searched using the Market Leader Search Widget. The list of areas will display in alphabetical order.

Market Leader recommends adding a minimum of 15-20 Communities Served and no more than a maximum of 25. There is no limit to how many Communities Served you may add to your site, but more than 25 can negatively affect the formatting of your site.
