Your Market Leader website is protected with HTTPS security. This means your consumers’ data is more secure when they enter information on your website and lets them know your website has been verified as a trusted site. This security is compliant with recent updates made by web browsers, such as Google Chrome or Safari, regarding security warnings on non-secure website pages.
You can tell it’s a trusted site if the URL starts with HTTPS versus HTTP.
Secure Website Content
SSL HTTPS security only applies to content hosted by Market Leader on your website. If you've added other content while customizing your website (e.g. images, links, or video), you may see a security warning if that content is hosted on a non-secure website.
Images:The image must be hosted on a secure site, and the URL must start with HTTPS.
Links:Any links must go to a secure site, otherwise you'll need to update or remove your links.
Videos:The video must be hosted on a secure site, and the URL must start with HTTPS.
Don't worry about your website photo, logo, or banner image - they're already secure!
Is Your Custom Content Secure?
When reviewing your custom images, links, or videos, the URL for your content must be secure. If it's not, you may get a security warning depending on your internet browser.
To determine if your custom content is secure, go to the admin section for the page you're reviewing.
Click on the image and then click the Insert/Edit Image button.
Highlight the phrase that's hyperlinked (or click on a hyperlinked image), then click the Insert/Edit Link button.
If the URL starts with HTTPS, then no changes are needed. If it starts with HTTP, then you'll need to either change the destination for the link, or remove it altogether. Learn how to add a hyperlink
